General Policies

Discipline

The beginning of all discipline is self-discipline.  However, where that proves to be insufficient, external discipline has to be imposed.

Fairness is the key to the disciplinary approach adopted by the School.  Strict procedures are followed regarding any breaches.  The School adheres to a clear Behaviour Management Policy and a set disciplinary code.  Rules and regulations are clearly laid out and provide guidance as to the School’s expectations regarding standards of behaviour.  There is a Home/School/Student agreement signed by all partners in the child’s education.

Upon registration, it is understood that parents accept the School Rules.  The School Rules are approved by the Cyprus Ministry of Education and Culture.  Our students have clear parameters, both for work and for play.

Parents are kept informed regarding any breaches of discipline which the school considers to be important.  The school counts on the co-operation and support of parents.

Pupils are actively encouraged to show good behaviour for which they are rewarded.  Housepoints, medals and certificates are all part of a positive reinforcement strategy.
