Primary School

Curriculum

The school caters for the needs of children from Kindergarten to Year 13.  Our mission is to serve each and every one of our pupils, from the youngest to the oldest as part of our School family and as an individual.

The Primary School covers under its umbrella the Kindergarten, the Infant classes (Reception, Year 1, Year 2) and the Junior School (Years 3 to 6).  The Secondary School (Years 7 to 13) prepares pupils for external examinations up to ‘A’ Level in Year 13.

The School follows the English National Curriculum, but has a more flexible approach as it is mindful of the local educational needs and culture.  It is a private Cypriot School which adheres to directives from the Ministry of Education and Culture.  The staff maintains an empathy with the student body and its varied academic needs.  Furthermore, most of our staff is bilingual which allows for better communication with the pupils under their tutelage.

From Reception to Year 6 of our Primary School, we lay firm foundations for the multi-faceted development of each pupil.  With the help of our experienced staff and modern teaching media, we guide our pupils to an outstanding level of achievement.  Each student gains the self-confidence and drive for personal success.

In Years 5 and 6, children are taught by specialist teachers in subject-specific rooms such as the Art Room, the ICT and Science Laboratories.  This prepares them at an early age for the system which is common in Secondary Schools, thus ensuring a smooth transition from Year 6 to Year 7.

The following subjects are offered within the Primary School:-

• Art
• English
• General Science
• Geography
• Greek (First Language)
