Junior School Trips November 2011 years 3-6

Year 3 and 4 went on a school trip to Limassol on Friday 11th November.  They went to the BSM Maritime Centre where they looked at big machines that are used on ships.  They also went to the Medieval Museum of Cyprus in the stone built Castle of Limassol where they completed a worksheet on the many historical objects seen from this time period.  Everyone enjoyed themselves and they are now looking forward to the next trip.

Year 5 and 6 went on a school trip to the beautiful village of Anoygora.  They went to Oleastro, an olive oil museum. Here, they learnt about the history of this valuable Cypriot product and saw how it was made. Afterwards, they went to the Mavros Carob Factory in the centre of the village. They were able to see how the carob sweets are made and given a tour of the factory’s museum by our very own Mrs. Pieroua whose family own the factory. It was a great day enjoyed by all.
