Once again, students of The International School of Paphos (ISOP) have shown their academic excellence by winning Outstanding Learner Awards from Cambridge International Examinations (CIE). It has been announced that eight of our school’s pupils will receive prizes in seven different subjects for their performance in the summer 2015 examinations.
The following students will be given High Achievement Awards: Tutan Rakhman for A-Level Economics, Karina Singh For AS-Level Economics, Jakob Yianni for AS-Level History, Iosif Ajami for IGCSE P.E., Chiara Larose for IGCSE Dutch, Panareti Neophytou for IGCSE Greek, Sergey Solovev for IGCSE German and Alina Seleznyova for IGCSE Art & Design.
Together with winners from other schools, the eight outstanding students will be honoured at a ceremony in Nicosia on 27th January. They continue a long-standing, proud tradition of ISOP. Our pupils have won Cambridge Awards annually for many years in many different subjects.
Headmistress Dr. Litsa Olympiou commented: “We are extremely pleased, not only with these achievements as such, but also with the fact that they reflect a wide range of subjects at different levels. This confirms once more that we have high-quality teaching and learning in all areas of the curriculum and that we prepare our students well for the challenges of tertiary education. We congratulate our award-winners, their families and the teachers who helped them gain these awards.”
