The International School of Paphos is committed to providing a hands-on, engaging learning experience for our students.
We are looking for a Lab Technician to help our science department deliver exciting and safe experiments in the classroom. The suitable candidate will support our science teachers by preparing and maintaining lab equipment and materials. The Lab Technician will ensure the labs are safe and ready for student use.
Duties:
- Set Up Labs: Prepare and organise materials and equipment for science classes
- Safety First: Keep the lab clean and follow safety guidelines for storing and handling chemicals
- Inventory: Monitor and restock lab supplies as needed
- Assist Teachers: Help teachers during lab experiments and guide students on how to use the equipment safely
Requirements:
- High school diploma required; additional training in science or lab work is a plus
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Prior experience working in a laboratory, particularly in an educational setting, is highly desirable
- Knowledge of basic laboratory equipment and safety practices
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to work well with students and teachers
- First Aid/CPR certification is a bonus
