About

Careers is embedded within the school’s curriculum. We offer a more focused programme beginning in Year 7 through visits and presentations by guest speakers from local and international businesses, enterprises and universities, careers workshops, accentuating personal awareness and the development of key skills. This, along with annual one-to-one careers guidance interviews, allows students to make informed decisions regarding their options for IGCSE, AS and A Levels, as well as university applications.

Our Careers Office advises Secondary School students about access to higher education, professional training and the world of work. The students are guided to complete their application to British universities through UCAS, universities and colleges admissions service, as well as universities in European countries, the USA and other parts of the world.

Our dedicated Careers Team guides, oversees and supports the meticulous process of selecting appropriate university destination, courses and professional fields for our students. This careful process includes one-to-one meetings with learners as early as Year 9, and then Year 11, Year 12 and Year 13, in order for students to make informed decisions regarding their optional subjects in the IGCSE level as well as A Level. We provide a dedicated, informative service to students and their parents.

In particular, with the Year 13 students, we firstly encourage them to visit our highly experienced Careers Officer for a consultation, where their ideas, abilities and requirements will be discussed and options for university choices suggested. Once they have decided to proceed with their application, our team will assist with all the required procedures. This involves all steps, right through to applying for accommodation and tuition grants.

Our continued aim is to give you up-to-date, practical information regarding our students’ options so that they can make thorough decisions about their future.

Graduates of our school study at prestigious universities, mainly in Britain such as the London School of Economics, University of Cambridge, University College London, Manchester, Glasgow, as well as universities in Cyprus, Germany, the Netherlands, USA, Canada, Australia, the Russian Federation and Switzerland.

Unifrog platform

In keeping with our commitment to provide students with outstanding careers guidance and tailored support when choosing their next step after school, we will now be using Unifrog: an award-winning, online careers platform.

The Unifrog platform is designed to support learners in making the most reasoned decisions about their futures and has a range of tools that are suitable for all year groups. Each student has their own personal account that provides a wide range of information related to their interests and aspirations.

Key features of the platform include:
  • Exploring Pathways – personality quizzes, career and subject profiles, MOOCs, and webinars
  • Recording – self-reflection about extracurricular activities and key employability skills
  • Opportunities – search tools showing live vacancies, courses, and placements for universities around the world, virtual work experience and much more
  • Applications – tools to help students build applications for a range of pathways (e.g., resumés, Common App Essays, personal statements)
