The Innovation Camp, supported by Junior Achievement Europe and organised by JA Cyprus, with the support of the British High Commission, brings students together. These students may not know each other but this does not deter them from tackling business challenges, promoting teamwork and problem-solving under stringent deadlines.
In Cyprus, this year, the Innovation Camp 2023-2024 was organised as a 1-day event, in December, where students had the opportunity to deepen their entrepreneurial skills and behaviour while gaining benefits in honing personal interactions. The JA Cyprus Innovation Camp was awarded as the best practice for the promotion of entrepreneurship in Europe by the European Commission in #EEPA Awards 2018.
Six Year 12 students from The International School of Paphos found the experience most rewarding: Jack Kotecha, Thalia Papamichael, Vladimir Koutsev, Melina Bountra, Alexander Agroskin and Andreas Vasiliou. Jack’s team secured 1st place, earning a spot in the JA European Innovation Camp in Vienna, while Alexander’s team was awarded 3rd place.
The awards are highly commendable and the overall experience proved enriching for all participants.
