Anti-Bullying Week at ISOP began today, with our Pastoral Team diligently organising activities to reinforce our commitment to a ZERO TOLERANCE TOWARDS BULLYING policy.
Our Anti-Bullying Week aims to raise awareness by enlightening students, staff and parents about the impact of bullying. Of course, we also instil the importance of kindness and respect towards others. ISOP is a ‘TELLING’ school – encouraging open dialogue and creating safe spaces for children to share their experiences and feelings regarding bullying. We are dedicated to promoting empathy and understanding among students, to foster a supportive community. Our school actively shares and reinforces policies and procedures. Reporting and addressing bullying incidents is vitally important.
Anti-Bullying Week serves as a powerful reminder to celebrate the uniqueness of every student and teacher thus promoting acceptance. At ISOP, we take pride in our diverse community represented by over forty nationalities.
Empowering students is another key focus of our campaign. We teach students skills essential for standing up against bullying and supporting their peers. Evaluating the school’s progress in anti-bullying efforts is crucial for reflecting on our current climate and identifying areas for improvement.
“Bullying is not a reflection of your worth; it reflects their insecurities. STAND TALL, SPEAK OUT and BE THE VOICE for those who can’t.” This sentiment encapsulates our anti-bullying stance. As Michelle Obama wisely reminds us, “When they go low, we go high.” While her words aren’t solely about bullying, they emphasise the importance of rising above negativity and promoting kindness. Let’s work together to encourage our children in understanding that kindness is a powerful trait—inspire them to pass it on and engage in spontaneous acts of kindness.
We look forward to an ACTION-PACKED and POWERFUL ANTI-BULLYING WEEK!
