As a school community, we are very proud of our Year 4 student, Sami Abuimeish, who participated at the Abu-Dhabi World Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2023.

In his category, he received the Silver Medal, with the winning match ending prematurely. This is wonderful news.

The championship took place at the Mubadala Arena and attracted 7000 athletes from 127 countries over ten days. His coach, Vitaly Stasiv, from the International Jiu-Jitsu School IJS International Jiu-Jitsu School in Paphos, informed us that it was Sami’s first international competition. “He has been training for only 8 months! He is a diligent student a dedicated athlete.” Congratulations to Sami for his great achievement and his parents for their support.
