Students from The International School of Paphos participated in the Robotex Cyprus Robotex Cy 2022 competition in Nicosia this weekend.

They used a robot to measure water quality, which they developed with Dr Vivian Petinou from the Science Department and George Kyprianou from WeByte Pliroforiki. Students demonstrated their robot and explained to judges why water is so critical in Cyprus as shortages of water cause issues with the quality. They, also, highlighted the advantages of the robot use against traditional methods of data collection.

The President of the Cypriot Parliament who was visiting the competition, Mrs Annita Demetriou, spoke to the team at length.
